Professor Scicluna addresses the EP as EIB Chairman

 

In this Dot.EU feature, prepared and broadcast by PBS, Finance Minister Prof. Scicluna explains that he was in Brussels on Tuesday 21st January, 2014, to deliver an address to the European Parliament in his capacity as Chairman of the Board of Governors of the European Investments Bank, on the invitation of the President of the European Parliament Mr Martin Schultz.

The address formed part of a European Parliamentary Week, which brings together parliamentarians from all over the European Union to discuss economic, budgetary, and social matters.

Prof. Scicluna explains that his address dealt with the importance of boosting investment across the EU, given that it is still at pre-crisis levels, and the role that the European Investment Bank can play by assisting investment in a targeted manner, especially by assisting small and medium sized businesses.
