Labour MEP Professor Edward Scicluna attended the workshops and followed attentively the discussions during the first Labour Party Congress held thoughout the week. Guest speakers discussed subjects such as the economy, education, energy, health, the environment and civil society.

The Congress came to an end with a successful fundraising event towards the electoral campaign on Sunday 23rd September. Professor Scicluna answered telephone calls and met with the people who came to the Party Headquarters in Ħamrun with their donations during this Marathon.

In the meantime, Professor Scicluna, together with the other Labour MEP’s Louis Grech and Joseph Cuschieri, hosted a dinner for Socialists MEPs Stephen Hughes and Gianni Pittella who were guests at the Congress of the Labour Party.

Kungress PL – ‘Futur li Jgħaqqadna’

L-Ewroparlamentari Laburista il-Professur Edward Scicluna segwa mill-qrib ħafna u b’interess id-diskussjonijiet tal-Kungress tal-Partit Laburista matul din il-ġimgħa u li kienu indirizzati minn nies esperti dwar suġġetti varji bħall-ekonomija, l-edukazzjoni, l-enerġija, l-ambjent, is-soċjeta ċivili, is-saħħa u ż-żgħażagħ.

Il-Kungress tal-Partit Laburista ġie fi tmiemu l-Ħadd filgħaxija 23 ta’ Settembru b’Maratona ta’ ġbir ta’ fondi b’risq il-kampanja elettorali tal-Partit. Il-Professur Scicluna ta s-sehem tiegħu billi wieġeb għat-telefonati u tkellem ma’ ħafna nies li taw kontribuzzjoni biex jgħinu lill-Partit Laburista billi żaru iċ-Ċentru Nazzjonali Laburista l-Ħamrun.

Sadanittant fi tmiem il-ġimgħa l-Professur Scicluna flimkien mal-Ewroparlamentari Laburista Louis Grech u Joseph Cuschieri ospitaw għall-ikla lill-Ewroparlamentari soċjalisti, Stephen Hughes u Gianni Pittella li kienu il-mistidnin tal-Partit Laburista għall-Kungress.
