Minister Scicluna and Ambassador Nijssen also spoke about their respective countries’ participation in the TATRA Summit that will be held in the Slovak capital, Bratislava, from the 4th to the 6th of November. The TATRA Summit is a prominent annual international conference on the most current European political, economic and financial issues, and was launched by the independent civic association Centre for European Affairs in 2013. It brings together hundreds of influential political, business and academic personalities. Malta will be represented by its Minister for Finance.
This week’s summit will put a key emphasis on the assessment of the EU’s strategic agenda and its implementation, and debates will primarily focus on fundamental pillars of this agenda: the Energy Union, Digital Single Market, genuine Economic and Monetary Union, and the Investment Plan for Europe.
