Malta has a role to play in the Mediterranean

While addressing The Mediterranean Leadership Summit organised by the Economist, Minister for Finance, Prof. Edward Scicluna remarked that Malta is very interested in the development of this region and can help as honest brokers and as a European Union member state closest to North Africa.

The Minister said Malta, as a country that has the English language as an official language and Maltese being our mother tongue and so close to Arabic, and a fully developed financial centre puts Malta in a special place. “Malta definitely has a role to play” the Minister concluded.
