Nhar il-Ħamis 28 ta’ Frar il-Ewroparlamentari Laburista l-Professur Edward Scicluna kompla jżomm kuntatt mal-kostitwenti b’laqgħa pubblika oħra ‘Ejja u Staqsi’ din id-darba f’Ħal-Lija. Il-Prof Scicluna tkellem dwar is-sitwazzjoni tal-ħolqien tal-20,000 impiegi ġodda li l-gvern Nazzjonalista qed jgħid illi ħoloq u qal li dawn il-figuri mhux fattibli. Kif jagħmel dejjem f’dawn il-laqgħat huwa wieġeb mistoqsijiet li sarulu mill-membri tal-udjenza kbira li attendiet għall-laqgħa. Dawn kienu dwar ħidmietu fil-Parlament Ewropew, l-proposta tal-Partit Laburista dwar l-enerġija, il-problemi tas-self employed, l-użu tal-fondi strutturali Ewropew mill-gvern, il-pensjonijiet, l-istipendji u suġġetti oħra ta’ interess.

On Thursday 28 February Labour MEP Professor Edward Scicluna addressed another public meeting ‘Ejja u Staqsi’ this time with the residents of Ħal Lija. Prof.Scicluna spoke about the myth of the 20,000 new jobs as claimed by the Nationalist government and explained why these figures are incorrect. He answeredquestions from members of the large audience who attended the meeting, mainly about his work in the European Parliament, the Partit Laburista’s proposal on energy,the problems experienced by the self employed, the use of European structural funds by the government, the pensions, the salaries and other topics of interest.
