‘Il-programm elettorali tal-Partit Laburista huwa mmirat lejn it-tkabbir ekonomiku ibbażżat fuq dak li qed tgħid l-Unjoni Ewropea. It-tkabbir ekonomiku u l-ħolqien tax-xogħol għandhom jimxu flimkien’. Dan qalu l-kandidat Laburista għall-5 u t-8 distrett il-Professur Edward Scicluna nhar it-Tnejn 25 ta’ Frar meta kien qed jieħu sehem f’dibattitu politiku tal-Awtorita’ tax-Xandir fuq Television Malta. It-tema tad-dibattitu magħżul mill-Partit Nazzjonalista kien ‘Il-PN se joħloq 25,000 impieg ġdid’. Il-Prof Scicluna tkellem ukoll dwar għadd ta’ proposti li qed jagħmel il-Partit Laburista fosthom dawk fil-qasam tal-enerġija u l-ftuħ ta’ child care centres b’xejn fost oħrajn.
