Labour MEP and candidate for the 5th and 8th district Professor Edward Scicluna was very busy giving his expert analysis on the Budget which was presented in Parliament on Wednesday 28th November. He was invited on the pre-budget special programme on One TV presented by journalist Wendy Borg.
Later on Professor Scicluna was invited as an expert on a four member panel on Miriam Dalli’s programme TX Special on ONE TV. He said that the best observations on the Budget will be given by the Maltese and Gozitan families. He announced that for the first time Malta was included in the European Commission’s list of countries in need of an in-depth economic review.
Following the Budget delivery, Professor Scicluna was invited on Thursday 29th November on TVAM broadcast on Television Malta presented byPierre Portelli u Joe Mifsud together with Nationalist MEP Simon Busuttil. During the programme Prof Scicluna said that the Budget would raise the tax burden on the people. He reiterated that Labour would retain the budget framework in order to maintain stability and continuity which was what the country needed.

L-ewwel ma ħa sehem kien fuq il-programm speċjali ta’ qabel il-Baġit fuq One TV immexxi mill-ġurnalista Wendy Borg.
Wara il-Professur Scicluna kien ukoll il-mistieden espert ta’ Miriam Dalli fuq il-programm TX Speċjali. Huwa qal li jaħseb li l-aħjar osservazzjonijiet fuq il-Baġit żgur li jsiru mill-familji Maltin u Għawdxin. Ħabbar li għall-ewwel darba Malta ġiet inkluża mill-Kummissjoni Ewropea fil-lista ta’ pajjiżi li jinsabu taħt reviżjoni ekonomika.
Il-Ħamis 29 ta’ Novembru kmieni fil-għodu l-Professur Scicluna ħa sehem fil-programm TVAM fuq Television Malta ippreżentat minn Pierre Portelli u Joe Mifsud flimkien mal-Ewroparlamentari Nazzjonalista Simon Busuttil. Il-Professur Scicluna qal li dan il-Baġit se jżid il-piż tat-taxxi fuq iċ-ċittadini iżda gvern Laburista ġdid iżomm l-qafas tal-Baġit biex ikun hawn stabbilita’ u kontinwita’.
