EJJA U STAQSI fil-Lukanda Osborne


Nhar il-Gimgha, 1 ta’ April, 2011, Prof Edward Scicluna kompla bis-sensiela ta’ laqghat ta’ kull xahar mal-kostitwenza bazati fuq Distretti Elettorali. Dawn il-laqghat ikunu f’forma ta’ Diskussjonijiet Pubblici bit-tema EJJA U STAQSI.

1171L-attivita tal-Gimgha saret fil-Lukanda Osborne, il-Belt. Matulha Prof Scicluna tratta l-kwistjoni ta’ solidarjeta mehtiega mill-Unjoni Ewropea ma’ Malta fil-kaz tal-immigrazzjoni illegali fid-dawl tal-krizi fil-Libja; is-sitwazzjoni fiz-Zona Ewro; il-kacca fir-rebbiegha; il-problema tal-power station tal-Marsa u Delimara kif ukoll dwar ix-xandir.

Tratta wkoll ix-xoghol li sar fl-ahhar gimgha ta’ Marzu fis-sessjonijiet ta’ diskussjoni fi hdan il-Grupp tas-Socjalisti u Demokratici fil-Parlament Ewropew (S&D). Dawn il-laqghat ta’ diskussjoni saru f’Ateni, il-Grecja, b’sinjal ta’ solidarjeta mal-Gvern Socjalista Grieg fit-tmexxija tal-pajjiz f’sitwazzjonijiet difficli wirt tal-Gvern Konservattiv precedenti.

“EJJA U STAQSI” at the Osborne Hotel, Valletta.

The Osborne Hotel, Valletta, was the venue for Friday, April 1, Public Discussion event by Labour MEP Prof Edward Scicluna.

The event, themed, “EJJA U STAQSI, was the seventh in a series based on Electoral Districts level.

During the event, Prof Scicluna, after a short address regarding his role as an MEP, took questions from the floor. Subjects discussed were the need of solidarity with Malta from the EU with regards to illegal immigration; Euro Zone situation; hunting in spring; the Marsa power station.

The hard work being undertaken by the Greek Socialist government was also dealt with by Prof Scicluna. The Socialist Government inherited a Greece on the verge of collapse because of mismanagement by the previous Conservative government.
